Keeper of the Books
I am continually, perpetually disappointed by the term “bookkeeper.” I understand that it is meant to define a sort of accountant, but I always want it to apply to Librarians. A Keeper of Books, of Knowledge, a Protector and Collector of Tomes. A Librarian keeps a book, as a soldier would keep an ancient and powerful sword.
